6FL cable question, does it come with the car?
 

I ordered the 6FL option on my car, (is on build sheet), I can't seem to find the cable with the car to connect to my ipod, should it come with the car and be in the center console?

I just see a USB jack and aux jack in the console...

I'd appreciate any help, thanks!

The cable should come with the car. Call your dealer and have your CA find it for you.

It should be in your car and connected. Mine was. Just talk to your CA.

Mine came w/o, but a call to the dealer got me one two days later.

Ok, just wanted to make sure it wasn't hidden away somewhere in the car. I'll send my dealer an email.

i'm picking up from spartanburg factory perfomance center... and i ordered the cable... but wonder if it will come from the factory or does the dealer get it separately?

I have the 6fl option on my 2007 X5 and it seems that in the UK the lead is extra (£30) but before anyone runs off shouting etc!! if you just plug your ipod into the usb socket with the lead that apple supplies for your pc, all works perfect, full lists, songs and albums etc.

That's true. You still need to plug an audio cable in to get sound, though. The ipod connector just controls the navigation of songs, it doesn't provide sound. The nice thing about the BMW cable is that you get both connections in a single cable. If I was in the UK, I certainly wouldn't pay a premium for that privilege, but since it is free in the US, I will take it!
