Daytime running lights

does anyone use the daytime running lights on their X ? ive tried a few times but im just worried the battery will drain .. is it possible ?

lakai 11-27-2007 01:22 AM

Why would it drain if your car is running.

~KaiFy GaiwanY~ 11-27-2007 01:23 AM

if you leave it parked for about half an hour while waiting for someone ..

Sorry, I'm not good at sarcasm. I meant to say that the only way one's battery would run down if the car was on was if there was no alternator. Of course every car has an alternator.

Bad joke. Sorry.

Quicksilver 11-27-2007 01:29 AM

So your telling us that if you park your car and turn the key off your lights stay on???

No, it isn't set by the dealer, you switch it on/off in idrive. But you are correct that it won't drain the battery.

Wagner 11-27-2007 09:10 AM

Sorry I was thinking pre-iDrive.

Quicksilver 11-27-2007 12:03 PM

X5audi 11-28-2007 01:18 AM

Too funny.

Does the engine turn on when I twist the key? Oh, it doesn't twist? So I press the button. Does the button drain the battery or should I turn the lights on?
