dealer just informed me my X5 has been released to transport. should be here friday or saturday. unfortunately i will be out of town for a week starting this friday. well at least it is a pleasure trip.

specs?

well, as my dealer plucked it off an OK dealer's stock production order i really am not 100% on all the specs.

it is supposed to be as follows:

4.8i sapphire black / tobacco / bamboo
sport w/ 20" s
premium sound
premium package
rear climate
comfort access
ipod usb

dealer to add Sirius Radio

hate i gotta wait another 10 days or so.

where in US are you (state) ? Two days for transport ??!

let's just say that while i probably couldn't hit spartanburg with a rock from here it wouldn't be more than a 6 hour bus ride.

Cool, I think if I was that close I would do performance delivery.

i had hoped to do PC delivery, but needed to take delivery prior to 12-31-07. as it was, just getting something close to what i wanted was iffy given my time constraints. if i can figure out how to post pics i will give it a go.

i hear PC delivery involves a demonstration of driving a 30 degree grade. kinda hate i missed that. i may enroll in one of the clinics they hold at the plant one of these days.

truck reached dealer last week but unfortunately while installing the Sat. Radio the tech smoked an amp. so i wait another week for the part to arrive from Germany. why wouldn't the plant have these in stock?

really had hoped to take delivery today. oh well.
