SD arrives tomorrow!
 

Just had a phone call from my dealer....my car arrived even earlier than expected and I can pick it up tomorrow! Very,very excited.

My dealer is still quoting the 13th +- 5 days. As soon as its in he will call me. But then im having some extra bits fitted so it needs to be with the dealer a bit longer. I was hoping to get it on the 15th as its my bday on the 17th but looks like it might be the 22nd now as I can't get to the garrage on week days.

Post some pic's and give us a quick review as soon as you get it, I bet you are well excited to get one of the first SD's in the UK and probably the first on this forum

Disaster!!! I cannot get insurance for theft without a Tracker being fitted which they can't do until Monday. Have to wait a few more days, I may not pick it up until next weekend.

Have you found any good deals on insurance? Best I can get is about £650 from BMW insurance with 10 years NC, no convictions etc and with the mrs on as a second driver. In a garage, rural location etc.

BMW quoted me £1245! mind I do live in Central London and the car is parked on a street. I have full no claims too. I am insured with Direct Line currently who want an extra £40 to insure the car over what my 535d cost for the remaining 6 months on my policy. When that expires I will look into it more.
