X5 3.0sd M Sport with 21" Style 128 Wheels Arrived
 

After a good 5 month wait my X5 3.0sd M Sport has finally arrived!

Car drives great, im glad i hald out for the sd over the standard 3.0d.

looks nice, i like the 540 too

verry nice...i'm still waiting so tell me how it drives....
any new features on the sd model that isnt obvious in brouchures eg i hear the headrest are different now ?

i also have the hi fi loudspeaker optioned so how do u rate this ?

You might remeber I did a poll a while back on wether to get the 128's or the 239's and im glad I went for the 128's as its a bit more in your face.

Jimsaq, the M Sport kit includes body coloured bumpers and wheel arches as standard.

I also had the factory tinted glass but also had the front passenger and drivers side done but at a lesser tint iby the garage in order to stay legal.

Just deciding wether to go with thr Hartage exause tips now or wait and see what bolt on ones BMW are just to bring out. I was supprised that the sd ones are chrome so look better than the standard 3.0d tips.

Great looking car dwarfer! Best M Sport I have seen, the 128's work really well with it.

Very nice. How's the drive? What is the 0-60mph time for the sd? Planning on chipping to 340hp?

Maginificent looking car....Combination of the black color, the 21" wheels and aluminium trim gives it a really classy look. ( am getting the baby version of this..eg 3.0d M so I am of course totally unbiased :rofl: )

Very nice ! The 128's fit flow perfectly with the Msport package !

sd 0-60 is 7 secs. I believe it's quicker than the 4.8 in gear though....which is where it counts

Mine sd is in production week 4.
Have had many doubts, sd with M sport in Carbon Black or
without M sport in Saphire with aerokit.
Have chosen the 239 wheels now instead of the 128's.
Doubts again when I see your car.

How do you find the 21" wheels on country roads?

Also, how do you like the chrome roof rails. I have ordered them on mine to match the chrome window surrounds.

The 21" wheels are great on the country roads. The car feels like it has loads of grip in comparison to my 530i M Sport espically with the adaptive drive sport mode. Ive only drove it in nice weather so things might be a lot different in the wet or more so if there is a frost (will be scarey if it snows, but thats not very often here). The wheels are scarely wide! But I can't say I feel much if any difference in ride quality over the 20" wheels.

Personal opinion but if your going with the chrome window surrounds you have to go for the chrome roof rails to balance it out.

Best bit is the ride height, I can finally see over the stone walls and hedges on these country roads which makes taking bends so much safer!

probably 1 reason why they dont offer the sd in the states.

what's the mpg city/hwy for the diesel?

it's about 9L/100km combined, whatever that translates to

Congratulations on your X5 dwarfer. It looks absolutely great! And I really like the clean modern look that the aluminum trim gives the interior.
