Hello E70 members:thumbup: I am coming over from the E60 forum were I learned about this forum for X5's:bmw:I have placed an order for a new E70 that is do Feb 2008. At that time I will be returing my E60. I currently reside in Berlin, Germany but hail from Colorado. I have come to appriciate the power of the BMW D, so I have ordered the X5 3.0sd with the following:

second, anyone else tired of seeing these options such as soft close doors and others available from the same damn factory but not available to the natives? what the friggin hell?!

I tried to email various people at BMWNA and the plant in SC as well as two different dealers ask the same useless local rep to no avail. I had them on my 01 MBZ. I couldn't wait any longer; I'm sure they'll be available sometime after my car arrives.

It's nothing new. I wish BMW would stop shortchanging us when it comes to options. An Anthracite headliner would be nice on X3s or 3-series. Or perhaps the sliding armrest for the 3-series. But noooooooope. :thumbdown:

All the new BMWs (including our 325i) are supposed to come with the Smoker's Package. Now, we don't necessarily smoke, but we do like to have power outlets. So why does BMW put a plastic piece over the rear ones? (Great, another DIY mod I have to do :rolleyes:, the day after I install a new headlamp switch for the rear foglights)
