Did I make the right choice with titanium silver with black nevada interior?

I am still debating on color combos since my X5 4.8 is on order and hasn't gone into production yet on whether to keep the Titanium Silver Metallic and Black nevada interior or go with Black Sapphire Metallic with Sand beige nevada interior. My 330ci is black with natural brown interior so has the two tone interior and she looks great just a pain in the ass to keep her clean. Any suggestions and pics to help me make a decision?

The Sapphire black with tobacco is nice! Black is tough though. I just picked up my Sapphire Black after having Sterling Grey. It's a love hate relationship. I love the way it looks clean and HATE how dirty it gets so fast. The sterling hid many sins.

Good luck.

Both are nice...

I have a new 4.8 Black Sapphire with sand interior and it is gorgeous. On my old 330 I have silver/black and I really enjoyed that too. The black is impossible to keep clean especially now in the snow but when it is clean, it looks amazing! You won't lose either way!

Silver/Black is very good combo if you dont have kids.... I have space gray/black, the exterior hides dirt very well, but the 2nd row is already a mess !

They are both very good combinations. My 2005 X5 is titanium silver metallic with black Nevada leather. My 2008 X5 on order is black sapphire metallic with sand beige Nevada leather. So, I understand your dilemma!

I will never own a black car again and I have had three in a row.. Looks great and better than all other colors IMO for that first hour after you have washed it but looks filthy the rest of the time - especially here in NE. Swirl marks and paint chips are very noticeable etc. etc.

The silver is very, very forgiving for dirt and dust.

I'm a big fan of the two-toned interior - saddle brown seats (?) with black trim.

i'm sure many if not all of us have contemplated changing colors even after placing order... i almost changed to the monaco blue/beige combo before deciding to stick to my original space/blk nevada...

i couldn't be more happier!!

i had a black metallic suv and so did my wife... both were a pain to keep clean and it showed all minor scratches and finger prints...

and God forbid you take it to a do it yourself car wash...

their "soft" brushes damages the paint...(left scratches everywhere!!)

stick to the silver.... it is still a timeless color and you should be fine....

although i prefer the space gray!! ;)

do you prefer blonds or brunets?

GO WITH IT - thats exactly what I'm ordering!!!

Not very objective answer as this is the combo of my X. Especially appealing if you have titanium grill, alu running boards and alu trim. Here some pictures:

Im biased also (E53). Stick with your original choice!

Right now I have a color similar to space gray and in the 13 years I've owned it - it has never looked dirty in the least. Very forgiving. Titanium silver can't be that bad either... I went for white this time around and hoping for the best but I know it will need some work (and so will the front rims anyway). As for the interior, the sand beige would be the only color I'd stay away from... even the test drive model's sand beige interior looked dirty.

BTW, chalk up another successful saddle brown order placed - it now shows on my owner's circle.

I have a 2001 330i with a black interior (and black exterior) that looks almost new despite having 2 young kids. My wife has a car with a light silver interior that looks like hell. The best thing about a black interior is that dirt and spills and stains don't show up like they do on a car with a light interior. Also, marks on black leather can be covered easily with a black marker if they can't be removed in the first place. Dust may show up a little more, but that is easy to wipe off.

Two of my friends got their new Lexus's with black interiors based on how well my black interior held up compared to their old car's light beige interiors, adn they are quitre happy.

With a light interior, I think it is harder to hide dirt and spills that accumulate over the years. Just my opinion. Some people just prefer teh look of a light interior, which I understand.

Things I factor in when choosing colors-
Size & type of vehicle (some colors are just wrong on certain models)
Where I live - weather conditions
Climate -
Kids/Pets/or adults only car ?
What colors I have had previously (happy or time for a change?)

To answer your question, I think the combo sounds great. It's your car so
ultimately you need to be happy with what you want - Let us know what you decide

i test drove a titanium & black and liked it a bunch. good contrast between the two colors. however i ordered a saphire black & tobacco and it looks sharp. dirty but sharp. with any luck i will be able to take delivery saturday. i've been to the dealer twice now to visit it on the lot.

I ordered black with sand beige. I love Titanium Silver. However, I don't like the black plastic trim and the way it looks with the lighter colours. That is why I went with sapphire and sand beige. I love the contrast. So much so, that I am probably going to trade my 07 530i on a Carbon/Natural Brown 09 550i later next summer.

Gotta tell ya, I had a black 330i with saddle tan interior which I loved. So much so, when I ordered my 2007 3.0 X5 I ordered it in all black, interior & exterior. But at the last minute, I switched to titanium silver exterior & black interior -- and haven't regretted the decision a second. It's stunning in those color combinations. Go with your instinct!

I have the Black Saphire with the Sand Beige. It's hard to keep the black clean, but I love the way it looks. My last 3 cars had a black interior and I love having a light color again.

:iagree: I think black is THE color for the E70s. I hate the contrast with black plastic bumpers and trim on other colors.

I do miss how clean my Sterling Grey E53 always looked. Even when she was dirty she looked great.

brian5 12-21-2007 09:37 PM

My advice is "make your own color choice"!!!

People will always say one color is better than another; that a particular interior color goes with a particular exterior color... That's BS!!

One should have an individual taste...
