Tomorow is the big day.,

My X5 has arrived at the and tomorow is tha day. You might notice that my colour choice differs from one of my first post....I chickened out on the black!

Canadian spec '08 (orginally was a '07 but opted fo an 08 instead)
A/W
Black Leather
Bamboo trim
4.8
Premium Pack
Premium Sound Pack
Tech Pack
20 in wheels
Sport Pack
Activity pack I think that's it.

I have 3 questions. Anyone running 20 in Pirelli scorpion ice and snow 275/40 r20. I ordered these from tire rack and they should fit dealer says they won't??

Is the sport button that you see below the gear selector supposed to come with sport pack or is it part of the dynamic handling pack?

There is a button that I don't remember seeing in the brochures (again i might be affected by information overload) but it's located below the gear selector and it says auto H???

Thanks

Hi there
firstly congratulations, you won't be disappointed.

Tyres = Don't know
Sport Button = Dynamic Handling Pack in Canada
Auto Hold = New feature on 2008 models. Auto operation of the parking brake when coming to a stop and in stop-go traffic.

Congratulations!

Thanks! Another question. On the sticky "2008 canadian ordering guide" it list "anti-wiplash" as being standard after build date 10/7. Should I have these on the sport seats?? How do I determine build date. Last seven are LZ36500? Any one on the tires?

The 20" rims on the 4.8i are staggered in size so those won't fit the rears unless you buy new rims back there too. Here's what will fit...

BTW, don't see the wheels you're referring to at all.

These tires are for rims up to 11 in. Overall diameter is 0.07% different from stock set up. Why won t they work.

What wheels was i refering to?

You're saying all 4 new tires will be 275/40 r20 correct? The 4.8i with upgraded 20s / sport pack has the 315 width in the back. It would only make sense that the 275 widths you've bought won't fit on the 315 width rear rims that come with the car. Unless I'm seriously misunderstanding something with tire sizes.

sample: P225/50R16 91S
The 225 indicates this tire is 225 millimeters across from the widest point of its outer sidewall to the widest point of its inner sidewall when mounted and measured on a specified width wheel. This measurement is also referred to as the tire's section width. Because many people think of measurements in inches, the 225mm can be converted to inches by dividing the section width in millimeters by 25.4 (the number of millimeters per inch).

225mm / 25.4 = 8.86"
But 315mm / 25.4 = 12.40" ... larger than your 11" specified.

Or are you saying that you've bought new rims as well?

Congrats, Alpine white with black is a very nice combination.

No I did not buy new wheels also. What I'm saying is the the 20in rear rim is 11 in wide. These tires are for rims up to 11 in.
