Folding Mirrors?

Is there any way to get the mirrors to fold every time you lock the car with fob? My Mercedes did it.
Does any ones X5 have height ajustable seat belts? The shorter members of my family miss them.

if there is a way to fold the mirrors, I have not found it yet. I would love if there was a way. Had a Renault Laguna rental this week in France and it did exactly that, car was even locking automatically as you walked away.... I seem to remember that on older BMW models it could have been a dealer programmable function, ie a 2 min job where they would charge you 1r labour
I hope somebody out there as the solution but I checked the manual and was hoping for an i drive setting but no luck

I know you wanted this done upon locking your doors, but is it not as simple as pushing the button on the window pad? That's the impression I got.

folding mirrors

I am not exactly sure if you can program your mirrors to fold when you lock. One thing you can do, is hit the power folding butto before you get out of the car. i know it is not what you wanted. If it is a prcess that has to be done at the dealership, will someone let me know so i can have it programed. Thanks

pretty sure that it can be programmed. But i don't really see the urgent need for it. Maybe BMW will included in an iDrive upgrade for later models.

I have a friend who is a service manager at one of BMW centers, and he told me (confirmed by shop foreman) that it is not possible to program the mirrors to fold when you lock the car. sorry to disappoint

This is deinitely a retrograde step for me and something I miss on my X5. It's been on my previous three BMW's. It's particularly useful living in London where sometimes we park on narrow streets. Maybe it's something to do with comfort access?
