Flashing Triangle

Greetings from new owner!

I've looked everywhere, but I can't seem to find why I have a little flashing triange to the left of the telephone signal strengh meter, and what it means.
Any ideas?

Thanks.

I wondered what it meant too, but the dealer says it means nothing.

It means roaming is active. Surprisingly, it's in the owner's manual.

Roaming, really? Mine is solid, would it make a difference if it's flashing? I am not roaming on my network.

I don't use roaming either so I'm not familar with it. Maybe an expedition into the manual will reveal the answer.

I had the same thing on my recent trip out of state... It started to flash just about as I left NJ and crossed into upstate NY. Very strange, because my verizon phone never indicated any roaming... I dont think Verizon can roam at all, after all they (CDMA) can not switch to any other network, unlike other GSM-based service providers. It stopped flashing after I've crossed back into the NJ on the way back. I found it very annoying, as usually a "flashing" thing requires attention, and I could see it with side vision.

Also, I used to have a "Phone" icon right next to the signal strength indicator. It recently dissapeared, right after taking it to the dealer to install license plates and have it washed by them. I dont think they had any time to do any upgrades to the car's firmware, but at the same time my phone got un-paired, too... Just weird.

Does the phone icon not indicate that you have unaccepted calls not yet viewed? As soon as you normally go into the "calls Not Accepted" view the phone icon disappears. At least it does on mine.

Same. Mine appears and disappears without notice.

Well, RTFM !!!!! The "phone icon" means "there are some missed calls you have not reviewed yet" :).... I feel so dumb !!!

Thank you for the replies, but should I have received a seperate manual detailing phone info? I do not find this information in the "Owners Manual for Vehicle".
