Wow 104 is the exact miles i got outta 1/2 tank too. Same driving conditions as you in a 4.8 with 300 on odometer rite now. I checked the trip computer after those 104 miles and was averaging only 11.5-11.6 mpg.

also did you notice how sluggish the car feels on standing starts?? I mentioned it to my salesman and he says all is normal for the break-in period and 1200-2400 miles is when the mad mileage and sluggish starts go away, lets hope he's rite

Speaking for my experience, your salesman is right.

Ditto... It is much more responsive now, and mileage seems to be improving (1800 mi on the odometer)

My 4.8 averaged about 11 mpg for the first 800 or so miles. I now have 2100 miles and my overall average is 14.6 mpg. I get about 12 around town and 16.5 or so on the highway. I expect it will improve a bit more with time.

Yes!!! Thank you... exactly what I've been feeling. However (and maybe I shouldn't be doing it) but on some occassions, when I feel that sluggish feeling, I punch a little bit more, and then the torque kicks in and it hauls. But, I'd expect more with less... but hopefully we'll experience that once the break in period starts.

Oh hey guys, one other thing ( and I don't know if I can bring up another question here, or I should start another thread - if so, I apologize and I'll make the changes) but, has anyone noticed that when the headlights are set to automatic, and the fog lights are off, when you turn the steering wheel in either direction, the fog light on that side turns on? And only that one!

Yeah, I parked the car and happen to have left the wheel turned to the left and when I got off I noticed that only the left fog light was on. So I thought, "great, a blown fog light".

But when I went inside, I noticed that I didn't even have the fog lights turned on... only the lights set to the left to automatic. So I turned the steering wheel to the right, and the left fog light went off, and the right one turned on.

Have you noticed this?

You really should crack open your manual! The feature you describe is part of the cornering headlight control feature. It only happen when the steering wheel is turned at a certain angle and you're travelling below a particular speed.

Not only that, but if you also turned on your turn indicator (blinker) and slowing down to make a turn, the cornering light will come on as you slow down BEFORE you even start turning the wheel. That is how it works for me.

Yep. That's really cool, isn't it!?

Yes very cool. Thanks!
