wheels from 7 on x5 in 21"

is it possible to install 21 inch wheels from the 7(e65) in dimensions 245/35 front and 285/30 rear on new x5(e70) 3.0d, and can I put maybe biger tyres? ...and is it dangerous?!:dunno:

I've seen that style wheel on there, not sure how wide the rims are, but the sport package rims on the x5 has 275s and 315s front and rear...so if the wheels are wide enough (9.5 and 10.5) then you should be able to use those sizes.

Is this the rim you're talking about: http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...ghlight=wheels

If it straight from a 7 series, the offset will most likely be wrong. The 7 uses offsets in the teens and low 20s, while the X5 has them in the 30s (40s?).

yes it is. styling 128. I already put them on my x5, everthing matches perfect but it looks short. and my question is. can the rims in that dimension handlle with the weight and perfomances of my car, because the allowed factory dimensions are 285/35 21" front and 325/30 21" rear

I know its bee over 15 years from the last post, but im having the same idea of putting style 128 on E70.
Anybody have a pic of how it will look like?
Fronts should stick out +3mm and rears should retract 5mm, which is very minor.
If there is a newer thread maybe someone can post a link!?

No. The E70 has a larger hub diameter than the E65, so you can go larger to smaller with hub-centric adapter rings, but not vice-versa. E70 wheels can go on E70, but not E65 to E70.

My E66 sitting on style 128 from E70, midnight chrome, 21"
11.5" rear 10" front
30mm wheel spacer require on front to clear strut.
