Water Spots On Seat
Most likely this is a silly question but in the northwest it does rain a bit and when the doors of the X5 are opened, especially the rear, water on the top of the door frames always flys it way onto top side of the seats.
My rear seat passengers make a comment swipe it with their hands or just sit on it. I figure there is a need to keep the car slippery in the air and may be the reason but is this common to everyone? |
yes I have noticed that the droplets land right on the side of the seats but I didn't really let it bother me that much.
It's an ignorable side effect of the exterior design. I do not wish to have flat sides so I decided to live with it. Try opening the door a bit more slowly (behavioral remedies) instead of looking for mechanical fixes, unless its a simple cure. |
Or install rain gutters, like on those older US models - circa 1980 :)

I've noticed the same issue. It doesn't rain much in So-cal so it hasn't been something I've really complained about, but if there were some sort of simple remedy, I'd be interested in it.

A little Lexol leather conditioner works well on watermarks. Conditions the leather and give the car a new leather smell. You can find it online.
