my 3.0d has finally arrived!
 

hey guys, after a 7 month wait my car has finally arrived at the workshop and i went to look at it yesterday. i will post pictures once i pick it up on friday.

i remember telling the people that i placed my order with that i wanted a space grey exterior, which they gave me.

i also asked them for an ALL BLACK interior, which they have not done. the seats are black, but the roof is grey! i wanted all black! is this not possible?

is there anyone on this thread that has an all black interior? if so, i will start bitching at the dealer.

everything else seems to be ok. i know this is a minor issue, but since i am paying a lot of money for this vehicle i should get what i have asked for!

the only car that comes with the black roof is if you order Sport package.

spots package option will get you the black anthracite roof that you are looking for. I have all black interior because of that too.

also i would like to confirm what this means: "USB Audio Interface"? Is this the standard Aux jack in the centre console? or is this the 400 dollar 6FL option that allows you to control the ipod from idrive?

If it is, then I will go and shit on my dealer tomorrow because i belive that my car does not have this option.

please advise me what should be done about something like this. to be honest, for all the dealer has made me go through, they have already promised me a discount of about usd 1,000/- and some freebies.

i have the original pdf file that stated the "USB Audio Interface" would come standard on my car. I have it stored in gmail, sent to me by the dealer.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

USB audio interface is the 6FL option that you are talking about and should have cost you about $400 this give you full access to your music on either your ipod or memory stick through your idrive.

The AUX jack in the console comes as standard, you have no control of your ipod or memory stick through your i-drive with this.

so you mean the aux jack as well as the usb jack come standard?

then its a little hard to debate this issue with the SA. This is because on the pdf file it says "usb audio interface" which the car does have....it does not say on the pdf file "6fl", so i guess i do not have it.....oh well whatever...i guess i'll have to burn dvds with mp3s on it!

No, the aux jack is standard, the USB connection is the 6FL additional cost option. If you don't have it, I'd certainly create a stink and wave the PDF cocument in their face. At very least you should get them to give you the iPOD accessory for the glovebox FOC.

Also, does idrive show the contents of my pen drive (good house music) up on the screen, like it does with the ipod?

It would have done if you had got the 6FL option but not by any other means.
