went to my dealer yesterday to order some titanium kidney grilles to be fitted by the dealer before i take delivery, i was also about to order some of the BMW exsaust tips discussed on here, then spotted an X in the showroom with as the dealer told me "as standard chrome tips" it was a 3.0d too, anyone else have these on there 3.0 or 3.0d as standard?...apparently the vehicle was buit on week 45 so im assuming if your was arond that time or after you should have them?

From Nov'07 all 3.0si and 3.0d do come with chrome tips.

Yeah, my 3.0SD was built week 50 and I have round chrome tips - I like the way they look.

sucks for me....i just got my 3.0d a week ago.....so i would expect it to have chrome tips...but no...since this car took 4 months to ship, it was made in sept/oct, i think that was week 37...

and here they are charging about 200 usd for the chrome tip set...

that sucks ..i was quoted about £55.00 for the tips
