i'd like to know more:thumbup:

y5choi 02-01-2008 11:28 PM

I think there is a alight tone difference between the bumper and the body.. if they can match the hue correctly, it would be phenomenal.

Thanks guys!

Bastuck will be releasing pricing next week. We are currently looking for an E70 X5 to test the Bastuck system. We would like this sponsored member to give the forums a full unbiased review with install photos and videos. Please contact for this sponsorship offer.

4.8 application

Is it available for the 4.8 also? The pics above seem to show application only for the 3.0.

Do you have any sound clips? Also, compared to the Eisenmann Race, how much quieter is it? If the E Race is a 10 and stock in a 1, what would the Bastuck be?

Thanks.

We are one of the top selling Eisenmann dealers in the US. I have been selling both systems for a few years now. The Eisenmann Race performance is not TUV approved and the Bastuck Performance db level meets all TUV standards.

Sound levels-
E Race (10) Stock (1)
Bastuck would be around a (5-6)

We are in talks with an X5world member for sponsorship. He will be taking video clips and photos and giving X5world members a full unbiased review of this system.

Thanks guys

Sure do. We currently have a 3.0 owner interested. I see that you have a 4.8. Sponsored cars will pay our cost on this system. We are looking for one 3.0 and one 4.8

Thanks

Interesting. I was curious what they would look like in oval. That definitely looks better than I had thought it would, but I still would go for round if I were in the market.

Am interested to hear the sound clip of the 4.8 with them.

Thanks! I think the Oval tips are a unique option for customers that don't want Round tips.

I'll let you know when we get the sound clips.

Regards

Greetings,

We would be willing to ship a sponsored system to South Africa for testing but the shipping cost would be rather high :(

Thanks

Anyone else wanna ask about pricing .......... hoo-lee-cow ?!?!?!?

Oh, oh............ wait............ oh................... "Is pricing available yet................ how about now................... NOW................. ?!?!??!"

whoopy-do 03-03-2008 01:11 PM

damn i forgot to ask the price ..... hehe

whats happened to this thred ..have they gone bankrupt giving out all the sponsored systems or something??

buschy 03-03-2008 04:27 PM

I think that he has already answered. he said he would let us know. Asking over and over is not going to speed anything up.

I also think that he may be having some serious problems right now with the eisenhaus issue.
I mean can you imagine if your supplier was a lier. haha

BastuckUSA 03-07-2008 10:39 AM

Sorry for the delay gents. Bastuck is currently verifying fitment as they have the 3.0 diesel in house and are waiting for a 3.0 fuel injected model to clarify fitment.

I will update the thread with more info as soon as we get it.

Feel free to PM or email us at any time with any questions.

drod 03-31-2008 03:05 PM

has anyone else here been selected for sponsorship install??

I have and am waiting for delivery... I just got off the phone with them and they are in the final stages of test fitting on a similar X5 3.0si before sending me the kit..

they want to make sure all mounting brackets and holes line up...

should be a clean two piece bolt-on..(mid pipe, mufller/exhaust tip)

I'm told I should have it in the next few weeks...

i'll keep you guys posted...

Do you have any pix of your car? Did you install the exhaust on yet?

buschy 04-09-2008 06:07 PM

no word yet on the completion of the system!

x5TT 04-09-2008 06:50 PM

am i be able to buy it if i'm living in melbourne, australia?

drod 04-09-2008 08:05 PM

i have not received the full exhaust kit yet... but i have been in contact with them almost every week... (they've been great in keeping me in the loop)

last i heard they were in the final stages of test fitting the exhaust kit on a demo 3.0si in their Germany R&D shop...

they want to make sure all bolts and brackets line up requiring no modification whatsoever..

it will come as a complete bolt-on in two large pieces... (which will include everything but the engine mounted headers)

i'm told i should have it in about two to three weeks..(they will ship to California's distribution center from there and then to me..)

the arrangement is that i post pics before and after and include a write-up of installation, fitment, quality, performance, and sound....

it'll all happen here!!!

I doubt it that it is a "bolt on" kit. You still have to cut the pipe between the resonator and the muffler. Bastuck will only replace the stock muffler (not the resonator) hence you need to cut the pipe in between.

The 4.8 kit should be simpler it is already twin pipe all the way. The 3.0 have two parts since you have the transition pipe (from the stock one pipe two two pipe) before going to the Bastuck muffler. That may explain why the 3.0 kit is more money than the 4.8 kit

VERSUS 04-10-2008 04:34 PM

Is this exhaust out ??

drod 04-10-2008 05:45 PM

they did say it was a direct bolt-on...

and these are the parts that will be shipped and installed..

actually it's not available to the public yet.. and won't be till mid or late summer of 08...(i'll be beta testing it till then)

darkus 04-10-2008 06:21 PM

This is a very clean looking system

Denalio 04-10-2008 06:41 PM

Why are they so hush on the pricing?

drod 04-10-2008 08:16 PM

they have posted pricing... it's on their website...

this particular exhaust is listed as a $2500 kit...

demo/beta testing pricing is different... (and there are specific vendor requirements like a full write-up, pictures, etc..)
