Wish List for 2009 X5

1. Stronger engines in both 3.0si and 4.8i.
2. EfficientDynamics elements built in.
3. Dynamic Performance Control.
4. Factory installed dual headrest entertainment system.
5. Significantly updated iDrive.

Anything else?

Sterling gray or a darker metallic gray. I miss looking clean even when I'm dirty :saad:

Ummmm, a reverse camera that you can actually use when it's dark out.

- tailgate that auto open/close from the key fob.

rufusdedog 02-04-2008 09:28 AM

1 - Parking brake that won't fail
2 - User upgradable software
3 - Oil dipstick on 3.0si
4 - Parking brake that sets when you put transmission in park - Doh! Nevermind
5 - Oil pressure/coolant readings displayed on main screen
6 - An actual list of maintenance items, i.e. when to change cabin filter, when to change plugs, not just a "take to dealer" when a warning pops up

Dual headrest entertainment system won't happen because of the active heardrests.

Folding mirrors that fold when you lock the car. Why did they get rid of this very useful function ?!?!?

Regular tires instead of runflats.

bimmerfan 02-04-2008 01:56 PM

The ability to order the trailer hitch from the factory so it isn't a $1,100 dealer installed option.

more color, night vision, better fuel economy

rh71 02-04-2008 02:59 PM

Quite easily the twin turbo petrol (not that I can take advantage anymore).

janisX5 02-04-2008 05:28 PM

;) To get out from SAV this little knack, knack, knack sound in interior details when it is cold outside...

janisX5 02-04-2008 05:35 PM

   Upss, I wish X5 2009 will have very, very much bugs and problems and when time will come everybody will be happy to buy my X5 2008 for really great price!!!!

1. Sterling Gray. One of my favorite color on the X5s.
2. regular tires
3. night vision
4. lane change alert
5. dual headrest entertainment on comfort seats
6. remote key fob to open/close tail gate.
7. better back up camera

Oh can't forget the auto-cruise-control with the distance sensor.

Seeing as I make frequent use of a ValentineOne (strictly for statistical purposes, of course) -- I'm curious if the Lane Change warning/auto-distance cruise control affect radar/laser detectors. I know that Infiniti's are extremely annoying with their lasers.

:hijack: Don't mean to hijack this Dude's thread, but that bugs the begeezers out of me too! Infinity and the big Lexus cars both do it! How about turn it on when you go over 55MPH guys???
