Hans_ACS 02-20-2008 05:18 AM

weak item in the E70. Mine was replaced at 6000 kms.

Wagner 02-20-2008 05:28 AM

that blows.

Monty04 02-20-2008 08:57 AM

I got the same message that KaiFy got about two weeks ago. It hasn't reappeared since.

~KaiFy GaiwanY~ 02-20-2008 10:00 AM

my x currently has 13900 kms .. it dodnt appear again so far !!

it is under warranty right ?

golfer4life 02-20-2008 12:34 PM

Got the same thing here over the weekend. It went away and hasn't seen it since. Mine has 6K miles.

drod 02-20-2008 09:49 PM

i haven't seen that yet but it seems like a real concern....

it's in the garage during the week... i ride on weekends...and mostly local driving... probably not enough time to properly recharge the battery...

only a matter of time before i experience the same...

has anyone upgraded their battery or had it upgraded by BMW??

seems like the stock battery can't handle all the built-in gizmos...

I get it all the time especially after I leave my radar detector switched on all night . I also notice quite a high voltage drop in the car after startup. But it realy doesnt bother me

Emm because I forgot to switch it off...
.... I can get it on the Radar Detector.

Last night it said my battery also had high drainage as well. What a huge recall if everyone on this board has this same problem. Sheesh.

Wagner 02-21-2008 08:08 AM

Doubt the populous of X5 world would qual for a recall. Just go to your dealer and tell them about the problem.

Why don't you just tap into a switched 12V supply?
