but i do have flat tyre monitor ,, is that the same thing ?

No, TPM tells you when the pressure drops on a tyre. FTM tells you that the X5 has pumped up a flat tyre by itself and that you're good to go again.

Granted you may have a few different features than some of us do but why sit down have a cup of tea, read the manual
and share with us what you have. That way we can understand the differences in your vehicle and ours and you will
have contributed some valuable information we can use to educate others.

That's a great example of why a lot of people don't like i-drive.

On my Z4 the proceedure to reset the monitors is to:

a) Press the TPM button untill it begins to flash the indicator, and

b) Drive off.

you need to be 21 for TPM, it will appear on your birthday...
