I too switched from a 535d to an SD...awesome engine. Are you going to get yours DMS'd ? Must be quite a perforance difference from the chipped 535d as I can notice a big difference and my 535d was standard. My car has done 2500 miles and is noticeably quicker than when I first picked it up.

Thinking about going the DMS route...my dealer is actually running a 535d Touring which they have had chipped for a laugh so they have said I can try that.

My 535 had been DMS'd. It was awesomely quick, but almost too quick for everday driving if that makes sense. I would give it beans too often and then be going far to fast which could be a bit silly. I am not going to bother mapping this one. Obviously still running it in at the minute and I think it will be fast enough for everyday driving. Even on the runs I have been doing I'm still easly popping past slow traffic and still not going over 3500rpm. Loving it.

When I need to blow off some steam I'll nick the Mrs new TT when it eventually turns up which will have a sub 6 sec 0-60 time so should be quick enough and I also popped in to my Lotus garage yesterday and he is offered me an awesome p/ex price for my Elise against new Exige S. If only all cars would loose only £3.5k over 18 months from new. Waiting for a phonecall today from him.

So I think the X is going to be the family wafting machine which suits me just fine.
