It's really not important but, I would be interested to know, where does it say that? It does not work for my BlackBerry or RAZR V3. BMW only supports narrow phones?

change in central console ashtray and my 2 cellphones fit perfectly in that little compartment , however my iPod does not :(

I do know that it says that, but I don't remember where. I'll try to find it.
Maybe the "skinny" phones that don't have bluetooth that need to be on hand and ready; and BMW assumes modern smartphones have bluetooth and thus do not need to be readily available?
