PLEASE HELP-how to turn off "one-sided" fog light??
This has been bugging me to death and I can't find any info in the manual. When I am driving at night, the foglight on the driver's side is on, but not the passenger side. This is without me turning on the foglights. Of course, when I turn the foglights on, both driver and passenger lights turn on....but with the foglights turned off, the driver's side foggy's stay on. What the heck is going on?

The foglights double as turning lamps. When you signal and make a turn the foglight will come on for that particlar side. Also, there is a feature called parking lamps that allows you to turn on one side when parking. I am not sure if this helps, but if these are not the issue or fix you may have a faulty component. This information can be found in the owners maual pg. 97 for 2007 models.

I've been looking for a way to turn off the turning lamps but there appears to be no way. I understand it's helpful during turns but I'd rather have the option to leave it off (it's not that dark on these roads, frankly) or leave them on together acting like normal fog lights (which they already can).

My problem comes from just having the lights on. it is not related to turning signals or to parking lights. This happens when the car is in idle and on

don't know if this helps...but i always have mine on auto...
a day after a heavy rain i noticed only one fog light was on but both came on when i hit the fog light button.... when i turned the fog lights off...one stayed on... this drove me nuts for hours.... turns out there was a short caused by the rain... and while it was "wet" it remained a short... 24hrs later it came back to normal... no problems since... strange.. |

I did not know about "corner lighting'" as one poster had said. I will look into that. |
Seems like a lot of people are having trouble understanding how this works. When the headlights are in the auto mode the respective foglight comes on whenever you make a turn. It goes out when you straighten the wheel. It stays on if you stop the vehicle without straightening the wheel. If you want to disable this feature place the headlights in the manual position.
