According to the post on the german forum the part number is 82120429766 and the price is................83 euros for a pair  (makes the Hartge prices a bit extortionate...though will wait and see how these things look in real life)

German poster orderded his this week and will post pictures next week,
Below a scanned picture from the catalog :

You need to check that part number. According to this thread that part number is for the round chrome tips:

Check Page 3.

Yeah, when I googled it it indeed seemed to refer to the old chrome tips. Will keep following the thread on the german forum and see what happens.

I was in the dealer yesterday and they didn't have a copy of the X5 accessories catalogue. Nobody on the parts desk, and I didn't have time to wait.

I have the 2008 Accessories brochure here, it has no exhaust parts in at all, and i like the way it has not the prices for mud flaps £55 per axel, £70 retail, robbers!!!!!!

Here is a BMW Parts & Accessories Catalogue. http://bmwfans.info/

Checked with my dealer and he didn’t know of any 4.8 exhaust tip accessories apart from the mentioned round chrome tips (82 12 0 429 766). I really hope he’s wrong.

The complete 4.8i “rear silencer” is €590. It appears from the supplied pictures that the 4.8 muffler could be easily fitted to the 3.0d or sd easily enough.

Starting to wonder if I am being ripped off for the “spider spoke 128 rims”. For a complete set it is working out at €3991.6, this is surprisingly cheap compared to what I was quoted.

How realistic are the prices on this website?
