Tire squeaking at slow speeds
 

I recently inflated my tires to 40psi (18 inch Michelins) and hear squeaking on slightest turns. Is this normal? Does anyelse get this?

Why would you put 40 psi? Shame on me for not knowing off the top of my head. My E53 with 18 non staggered was 32 psi all around. I think the E70 is the same.

EDIT: I just went outside to check the sticker on the drivers door that should show the tire pressure....well there isn't one. What's up with that?

Sometimes if you drive on a gravel/dusty road, crap gets kicked into the brakes and can cause some squealing. It should go away with time. That happened to my X3 once a long time ago.

40psi on the 18" is excessive.

40psi is high... even for the race track...

wow 40 is too much i wont risk it above 34psi

32-34 tops.... (front/rear if staggered)

too low or too high and you risk tire failure...

40 will feel a bit bouncy and light...giving you that false sense of security....but as it heats up on longer trips it will expand beyond the tires capacity... be very careful!
