2008 production date X5 question for all new owners

Can someone tell me if BMW has started to phase out the mpg indicator on the instrument cluster and replace it with an oil temp indicator? This has happened already on the 3 series and numerous others. So basically if you have a 2008 X5, please post your production date (i.e. 1/2008) and what indicator you have "mpg" or "oil temp". Thanks.

The answer seems to be "no" ;)

The X6, which shares the exact same instrument cluster with the X5, has water temperature in lieu of MPG.

I wish BMW would do the same on the X5, but it's too late for me. My E70 was just built last week.

So your production date is April 2008?

The twin turbo petro engine is know to have oil temperature concerns. I suspect that when they put the twin-turbo petrol engine into the X5, the oil temperature will appear in the cluster.

Yes, April 3rd. I'm doing a Performance Center delivery, but unfortunately, it's not until May 8th. The anticipation is killing me.
