2007 X5 3.0Si steering squeaks Update: OMG WTF IS UP?!!1
Hey guys I've got an American BMW 2007 E70 X5 3.0Si I've already done 10,000 Km on it I had not done any services to it as it didnt need any yett... Now though the steering wheel started giving squeak sounds when I turn the wheel left or right at slow speed 10Km.
The car sits in Russia Moscow this is where I drive it I did do some harsh un safe drivin, drive off side walks at slow speed, drive on really bad roads where cars are prohibited, clime up sidewalks and once passed a speed bump at around 100Km/h as there was no sighn of a speed bump on the road. So now I hear these sounds and it starts to scare me a bit... Is it ok?? Or I need to take it up for a check...??? What do you think guys is the problem?? I did not have any sounds coming from the steering wheel until now...

You have fluid leaking from somewhere could possibly the Power Steering Pump or rack. I would have it checked ASAP.

X5audi I just droped on my GL550 now once I get some free time I will deal with BMW in Russia, Moscow. My car is from the USA so they dont wont to do warranty service unlike Mercedes they do any warranty service for me without any hastle even though I got my GL550 from USA

Well I just got too meet one of the owners off the official dealer of BMW in Moscow tomorrow I'm going take it too the service.
When I called BMW on the www.bmw.ru I found their contact numbers, what I was told was you have to have a stamp in your Service Book from the place you bought it in USA from... They just don't wont to take it you know what I mean until I found one off my friends who knows one of the dealers directly I suggest for BMW to investigate this BS... Why do I have to take up with this!? Why don't I have to take any sh!t from Mercedes-Benz they don't ask me for any stamps in my Service Book! Nore any documents from where I bought the car! Im sorry but coming from such corporation its pathetic! I will still keep my BM whip but none the less I hate to deal with this nonsense... Thank you BMW! |

I had the same problem but it went away before I got to take it to the dealer.

I have same problem. When my power steering pump start to leaking, began difficultly to turn. (computer dont write anything) I was changed it on new.
Now its normal to turn. But i have another problem. Creak noise from steering column. Mainly when I turn on left. What this? |
