Perillo BMW in Chicago stamp needed! help...
Hey guys I've got my car from Perillo BMW in Chicago. I brought it over back to Russia, Moscow. I took it too the service today to do a waranty service.
What I was told that the car is not valid for warranty becuase it was produced in March 2007 and now its more then a year old. It could of been valid if it had a stamp of the dealer and date when it was sold. Guys could someone show me a scan of their service book, the first page! I need too see how it needs to be filled out, you could smuge the VIN, your name and home adress. What do I have to write in the space for "Retail/In-Service Date"? Also the car never had a Licence plate number in USA as it was bought brand new and off too Mother Land Russia ))) What could I write in that space??? A good picture of the stamp would help me!!! |

How did you get an almost new, "used" car with less than 600 miles on
it, and the local Russian stlr is telling you to pound sand, 13 months after its in service date? PS/Edit: if the sltr can "run" your key, it will tell him "in service" date; if the oem warr. is only a year in Russia, or because of the car's import circumstances from US, all the "stamps" and creative writing in the world probably won't help. The dealers here, at least in my experience, never stamp the service book - the centralized database at BMNA is the 'stamp' for service work.

Don't you have any paperwork from your purchase that would show when you took delivery of the vehicle? I would think that would suffice.

I've got the paper work but thats not enough for the Russian dealers as they don't wont to do any warranty service free for the car that has been bought abroad...
So no body has any stamps in their books!?!?:confused: Edit: What is "BMNA" so I could go about and explain it too BMW in Russia since most of them don't speak English those letters wont mean anything... |
BMW NA stands for BMW North America, which is the division responsible for the US and Canada, I'm not sure if they also have MExico or if that is a separate organization.
As for Perillo, my Mother taught me never to say bad things about anyone, so I'll just say that a google search on the three words: perillo BMW chicago would be worth doing. |
The statement "It could of been valid if it had a stamp of the dealer and date when it was sold" sound fishy to me but i don't live in Russia and not familar with how things are.
The Easy answer IMHO is to have Perillo BMW in Chicago fax or e-mail the dealer in Russia the info they need. ALL DONE. :thumbup: Just curious how could your vehicle have zero miles upon delivery?? Quote:
