X5 4.8is or 4.4is...
 

I've read the rumors about the turbo engine getting put in the X5, eventually. Does anyone know more details like when, which engine 4.8 or 4.4, called the IS or the M, etc. Any info would be appreciated.

the X5 ''is'' will get a 4.4 twinturbo engine, the same that is used in the v8 x6
and i 'think' it will carry a badge similar to the v8 x6, 'xdrive50i' something like this :S

Actually I spoke to BMW Australia today and they said the X5 WILL NOT get the 4.4 TT from the X6.

There is no official word on it being a 5.0is, 4.8is, V10 or V8 - but it definately isnt going to have the same TT V8 tahts in the X6

And BMW, staying true to their word since the original X came out, there will never be an ///M SAV.

i remember being told by my dealer that the twin turbo diesel wont come out in the X5...
