Fan on during start
 

It is just a personal nuisance, but does anyone know how to turn off the fan the minute the car is started? The fan will always be on the minute I turn the car on and I don't think that is necessary right from the start. Any information on this would be great...

By fan, you mean the climate control fan? If so, there is a BIG post about this. Yes, most all of us hate this "feature". It only does this on the X5 (2004-2008), and no other BMW model, past or present does this. It is a horrible "feature", that makes no sense, and even worse is that it cannot be changed (by oneself, or the dealer). Another brillant idea von Bayerische Motoren Werke!!!

sucks to hear that, hopefully the big wigs at BMW will hear us and make some type of software update to fix this. BTW, you went all out with your E70. Looking to get the Y-spokes after seeing how nice lthey ook on the car also...

Thanks, the Y-spokes are probably my favourite thing on my E70 (and one of the few problem free areas, he he he....somewhat joking:)

I think the big wigs will not change this, as they've had this feature on the X5 since 2004. They like it for some pointless reason!!
