how weak is the stock battery???
 

i'm adding a second amp (4 channel) to power up my door speakers (which have been upgraded and require more RMS power than the stock amp)

i'm concerned about drawing more power from the battery to support this 4ch amp.

is the stock battery that weak or has recent complains been due to other causes???

if i do upgrade the battery, what do i upgrade it to???

any thoughts?

If you are concerned about constant amp draw... mod your alternator.. But unless you are installing something really crazy, all you need is the appropriate Optima battery and some good quality, low gage power and ground cables. Can't go wrong with Optima IMO. Have fun.

i'm using a 1000/1 jl audio amp....you're fine.
