i agree, the stock setup really isn't the way to go... the more agressive the look, the better...

i do get stares all the time while at the light.. but mostly from other male drivers who are admiring the slightly new design...(and probably because there still aren't that many around here)

i also get the occassional wave and "nice car" comments from girls as i pass them by! ;)

I calmly responded NO I have an X5.
Her countenance was abvious.

I finished my transaction and left
smiling inside as i said "How shallow"

As far as it being a "feature" - i cant wait for the day the dealer tries to sell me the next X5 and tells me its a pussy magnet and Im going to get laid, its a built in BMW feature! This will definately top BMW's competition in the marketing stakes.

Lets put it this way, chicks dig my X5 waaaay more than my other car, which is pretty hard to top. Here is a photo of my other car. Notice the plate...that's right.

Well, our X is in V's name, she drives it 60% of the time on
road trips, she still loves me after 25+ years, and we boogie
about 1-2 times per week, these days. So, its "effect" is
OK by me. :D
