What does Chassis Number mean??
 

I placed my x5sd sport order on 28th March, and today I received a letter from dealer, it said shipping ETA: July 2008, as well as chassis number and all the options I put on.

From what I received, does that mean my car is ready to ship or it's already been shipped? cheers

ETA = Estimated Time of Arrival

This could mean a number of things. It's best to check with your dealer to get the exact status of the vehicle. But under normal circumstances, customers receive their Chasis Number (or Vehicle Identification Number) one week prior to production.
