I had the same problem. It felt as though it came from inside the door panel. Actually it was due to the velvet trim of the door frame pressing against the frame on the body. Take it to the dealer and they'll put some tape around the body frame that meets the door frame and it will solve it.

BTW, yours is an Alpine White? I thought there were only 4 AW E70's in Indonesia including mine (the 3 others I know). Guess there are more of them hehehe..

Thanks and please let me know if anyone is experiencing the same thing.

wah! another alpine white in Indo!! I have only seen another AW in Jkt! btw which dealer did you go to? I got mine from Cilandak Astra. Well I just got my car so I don't think you know me yet. hehehe

I lowered the window a bit and the noise was gone. But I start hearing loud motorcycles on the side of the street lol

I got it from Eurokars. They are the one who fixed the same noise you're having. Give them a visit and they'll fix it for you too. It's BMW's classic problem.

Seriously, do you regret ditching your Cayenne for an X5 now?? :)

I have this problem, too. My solution is quite simple, just insert someting thin enough between the panel and door. You can use a piece of paper, a piece of cloth.

My best solution is to ask the backpaper of sticker from my son. By letting the "greasy surface" facing the panel, the noise stops.

ps. For some unknown reason, I can not attach the picture. So sorry that
not be able to explain more detail.

thank you Peter!

Hm... I had my Cayenne back in Boston, spent alot of money for mods and when I didn't get any money back when I sold it lol...

I'd have to say that the Cayenne drives better than the X5. No hard feelings since I also own an X5. Even compared to the previous generation Cayenne, the Cayenne is still a better car. But when we are talking about standard option vs price difference, X5 worth more.
