2nd Car - Sirius, BMW Assist Questions
 

I'll be picking up the new X5 soon and had a couple of questions. We already own an E90 330i with both Sirius and BMW Assist active. When we go pick up the car, will we:

1. Get any free Sirius service? I thought I read you get 1 year free
2. Be able to add the new cars' Sirius ID to our existing Sirius account?
3. Be able to add the new cars' BMW Assist account to our existing account?

I always prefer to have one bill if at all possible. I know there will be issues with renewals and such but just wondering... Thanks.

1. Yes. One free year is included with the Sirius option
2. Yes. You can add a 2nd receiver to your account. You also get a nice discount a renewal time. I do it via the website.
3. Unknown

Do I have to do anything special to make this happen at the dealer? I thought I remember with our E90 the 1 year subscription credit was attached to the car radio's ESN somehow. Thanks for the reply.

Your Sirius receiver has an ESN attached to it. You need to contact Sirius (phone or web) to have that ESN added to the account with your other one. Sirius will know it's a BMW receiver with a free year.

We just added a 335i to our family. Our X5 has BMW Assist + the Concierge Service and we were unable to add another car to the "same" account. We did keep our passwords the same for both vehicles, but according to BMW Assist, they are separate accounts.
