Took delivery of a 4.8i
 

Having spent several months to research and compare many SUVs, today took delivery of a 4.8i, Black Sapphire/Black Nevada/Dark Bamboo, Premium, Rear Climate, Sport, Style 214 wheels, Automatic Tailgate, Comfort Access, Running Boards, Heated Front Seats, iPod/USB, Navigation. Everytime I think of being rational and sticking to the 19", I see a post like this and change my mind back to 20" (Best looking wheels on the E70). Hopefully soon I'll be posting mine (~October)!!

I couldn't stand looking at my 19s anymore when I knew the 20s were out there. It was driving me nuts everytime I looked at the car so I had to have it. I'd say 95% of the E70s I've seen around here have the style 210 or 212s. I'm really happy to be different. ;)

Any delivery issues with it coming from out of state? How did that work...did you go out of state to sign the paperwork or did they do a dealer trade?

Thanks! They did a dealer trade. This vehicle was found right around the time it was leaving Spartanburg heading to a dealer in Oklahoma. It turned out that it was too late to redirect it to Texas, so we had to wait until it arrives to Oklahoma and then get it to Texas by truck. All the paperwork was signed locally.

Weren't you looking at another one that had ~ 50 miles on it? Was that the only reason you went with this one or were they equipped differently?

Yes, it was me. This one is equipped better to my taste. It has pretty much everything I want and just a couple of things I wouldn't order if I were do a custom order.

I also took delivery yesterday (will post pictures soon). It looks like we both could have waited to do a custom order, as BMW has extended the 0.9% financing until 09/02/08. Oh well...there is nothing on the SAV I would have wanted to do without and the only other thing I would have considered adding was HUD and I can live without that. She costs enough as it is. :D

Well, it's good for those who have not given into that :)

Congrats !!!! E70 X5 is awesome. I took delivery of mine a couple weeks back, Black on Black, the only thing different I would have picked on a special order would have been the Saddle Brown Leather. Getting it below invoice made it a no brainer. Love the ride wish they gave the 20" with the 3.0 sports pkg.
