Problem with SAT NAV
 

My SAT NAV has recently started to exibit a problem where it "forgets" it has a DVD installed. Popping the DVD put and in appears to fix it for a while then it drops out again

I originally thought it could be a corrupted DVD, but I have tried a newer map DVD (2008.2) and this has the same problem. I am thinking maybe it is the actual DVD that has an issue.

Anyone seen this before? :confused:

I have the same issue so I took it to the dealer. However, everytime I go, they can't duplicate a problem. Anybody solved this problem???

just to rule out whether its the drive itself, try to pop in a normal music cd or a dvd loaded with mp3s. if they both work, it may be a firmware/software issue w/c the dealer needs to address. good luck :)

I had the same problem. Dealer replaced the whole CCC unit and all is fine now!

hey, how did you get the newer navi dvd??

did you pay big bucks at the dealer?? and also is the updated version worth it?

Thanks for the tips and feedback. I tried and different DVD & CD last night......both an MP3 one and also a SAT NAV Upgrade. Neither worked. Booking it into the dealer today!
