Diesels in November
I thought they were supposed to be in October!!

- 33mpg? Is that in imperial??? EDIT>>> they must only be referring to the 335d.
- November... heh you may as well wait for the new idrive coming in the spring. |
I am a patient man, but I’m afraid to lose my X5world creds being on the Forum and yapping so much without owning one!!
Though, it is getting to close to new I drive coming in March that it is worth considering. And Yes, I think they are only refering to the 335d |
I read, at least 19 city MPG and 25 highway MPG for the diesel X5.

That article is about the 3 series... Same engine as the X5.

BMW Mt View, CA said they went to BMW training/sneak preview on August 11th and were told X5 Diesel production for US would start in November with delivery in January. Pretty disappointing if this is true.
Anyone else heard this? |
^ don't you people want the new/improved idrive?
|
They are trying to cost the Urea Pack and its impact on
Warr/maint., I guess. |
Or allow time to train a minimum number of mechanics in each dealership so as to contain those warranty costs.

I was jes' poking, JCL ;>)
Other than some "needs" for a diesel, I don't see the US Throngs lining up for $75G X5 oil burners, here in the States...I could be wrong, but other than the mpg, or towing, the thrill is gone for that kind of priced 2 1/2 ton+ "car", imo. Hope it sells, but it is really niche mkting here in the Colonies. BR,mD |
