3G Iphone
Have the new 3G Iphone and it does not work with my 08 X5 Ipod integration kit. Old Itouch worked great. Has anyone figured the work-around? May have something to do with a revised pin setting on the new Iphone. Any help would be appreciated.

mine works fine... just has an annoying echo, but i've been able to minimize that.

Mine works great as well.
Although my GF's original Iphone had some issues, that I finally figured out....It had to do with some music that she purchased off of ITunes.... I think they had videos included with the song when she purchased and downloaded them... I simply just didn't sync those few songs, and uncheck the include video tick box in ITunes. Another thing to try, is to consilodate all your music into one single playlist, and try it. As for the echoes marcx5, just out of curiousity, how did you fix it? Mine sounds fine, but I know that on some BT equipt head units, if you're BT volume is set up too loud on your Iphone, it'll give you that echoe...mostly on the other end... But during a call, you have to lower it by hitting down the side rocker buttons during a call... |
dawgbone: i've found that my voice can echo which myself and the other caller can hear. my original iphone never did that. however, i found that by turning UP the bluetooth volume and turning 'down' the car volume, the echo can almost be eliminated.

Maybe I can try that with my Pioneer Avic Z2 in my truck. It's a common complaint with the Avic's BT, and there are some suggestions on how it should be configured, but no one really knows for sure... |
Upgrade the iPhone Software
I've read elsewhere that if you upgrage your iphone sofeware to 2.0.2 it should eliminate the echos.
(Check it out... I've been a member since 2006 and this is my first post) |

I've updated the Iphone. But with the Pioneer, it still echoes. I will try to turn the phone's volume all the way up, and the Pioneer's all the way down. As most have suggested to do nearly the opposite on an Avic's forum. With the Avic, you turn the volume all the way down to get rid of the echo, but then you can barely hear anything. I think it's just a fact of life with the Avic, as it probably doesn't have any noice cancellation built in, like the X5 probably does. Dunno I don't have an issue in the X5 or the M though, so I guess I lucked out when I paired it to both of the Bimmers and had the volume set about where it should be... |
