After much searching, this is the only ECU upgrade that I can find for the X5 4.8i (E70). Has anyone purchased this?

I have sent Hamann an email for more details and price. This is their web page.

I reprogramed my 08 4.8i to 390hp.
I feel the car much stronger in the 100-200km/h. MUCH!
Will dyno it these days and post the graph.

That's pretty impressive! What did you use to reprogram it? Are you saying you used the Hamann product?

There was some discussion on this thread a week or so back. There was some, shall we say, doubt expressed, that the gains were that significant. That was simply because it is a naturally aspirated engine, and there are few gains to be had there. A forced induction engine is a totally different story, they are relatively easy to chip.

Oh, that's right. I remember seeing that thread.

Hamann is going to give me a USA contact so I'll try to get more info about their product. It's probably expensive :(

I did it trough a pro guy who is chip tuning all kinds of cars.
There are several sites you can check out about power gain, and they all come to the same result.
Chipped Up - ECU Remap, Car Remapping, Chip Tuning, Fuel Economy Tuning

UPsolute.com The Chiptuning Company

SM Chip Tuning • Bmw X5 E70 4.8 I 355

Anyway, shortly I will dyne test it and post it here.
