Service at 12 months ?

My x5 Diesel is just over 12 months old.. it has only 15,000 km on it... I had an oil change at 1000km out of choice (And to get idrive software updated !!) ... the car is not due for a service now... what are the opinions on taking it in for a service... I like the idea of techs going over the car and rechecking nuts and bolts.. but do BMW have a standard service schedule for a 12 month service that I could request ? There is nothing wrong with the car although I will report the idrive going blank and resetting approx. 3 time in the last 3 months.. but doubt they will find a fault...

Does your dealer update the X5's software every oil change? 'Cause your wording sounds like it.

Nope.. I got the oil change at the same time as reporting some issues such as the steering wheel memory not working ...so killed two birds with one stone so to to speak...:p:
