That BMW CD changer does not randomly mix songs from different CD's?

I went to my dealer and the technician told me that the changer only mixes (shuffles) song within a single CD not all six CD's.... I really find that hard to believe!

No, it doesn't shuffle from multiple CDs.

But I don't find that a problem. I create DVDs with hundreds of tracks on each and play those in my DVD changer. I'm not even using all six DVD slots yet....

I had Pioneer CD changers in two vehicles, and they both shuffled within a disk, or across all disks.

You must have had the Canadian version, Canadians can mix up a lot of stuff from all over the place :) ;) (j/k);)

Both vehicles were in Chile, a US built Expedition, and a Japanese-built Subaru Legacy. It was pretty mixed up there too.

The infiniti FX I traded in had it and it was a 2004.

I thought CD changer definition is the same across the board? I guess I was wrong!
