low oil indicator
 
dear all,

today i saw the symbol for low oil appearing on my x5 3.0d. i checked the OBC but all was well there.

what shall i do? i have heard there is no dipstick in the e70.

also my washer fluid is low. can i just fill up with regular bottled mineral water? tap water?

any help appreciated in advance....thanks

If you have a low oil warning, you are probably -1 litre of oil. So add in a litre of motor oil.

Use washer fluid. It's not that hard to find.

I was told when I picked up my X5 3.0d it could need a top up of oil before the first service and just to return to the dealer and they would do it for me free of charge. To date I haven't had to take them up on this but I'm still a long way from the 1st service having only gone about 3000km.
