You should try for about 3K below Edmunds Invoice. I got mine at 3K below invoice + .9% financing

These below invoice discounts on 3.0s are much steeper than on the 4.8s from what my sales guy told me.

BMW offered 2.9% earlier this year even when their production numbers weren't that bad compared to now. They will always from time to time have sales offers especially this time of year before the next model year.

Just to give you a new perspective. When BMW offered 2.9% my dealer had 60 X5s in stock. In September BMW start offering 0.9% and my dealer was down to 50 X5s in stock. It currently has only 14 X5s (all White or Bronze Metallic). All 2009s will suffer a price increase and BMW will cut production. Therefore although we will always see sales offers from time to time, I do not think 0.9% APR + Free Premium Package will exist next year. Time to act fast guys.

Yeah I agree the 0.9% APR will be a thing of the past. But you have to remember it wasn't just X5s BMW was offering the 2.9% on earlier this year. I guess maybe in CO where you are there are a lot more X5s allocated because of the weather---but I know here in Dallas each dealer (4 of them) have no more than 10 in stock at any one time. And I'm sure Houston, Austin and San Antonio are the same.
