My dealer had the paint refinished on one of the exhaust tip...but when the other tip started peeling, I took it in, and they replaced the whole muffler/tips assembly. Take it to another dealer!

when was production of your X5? i am trying to confirm whether the problem only applies to early production e70s. mine was built in oct 06.

Mine is March '07 I believe. Didn't check, but should be around that time.
