[POLL]: E70 owners, which version do you drive?

I don't think I've seen it broken down before so just curious...

If you choose will have one in the future, please state which option you would've picked.

I will buy one in the future when they make some engine and other updated changes--either the current 4.8 or 4.8 TT--I only will get a 3.0 if they come out with the TT on it and the 20" wheels/wider fenders.

I'm really surpised that the % for leased is not higher. Maybe because people who lease probably aren't really involved in their owning experience since they will be turning it in after 2-3 years and don't frequent a board like this.

I will have one when I can order the diesel engine...

Voted!:D

I'm surprised there are a lot more 3.0si drivers than I thought. Just reading through threads, I had the impression there were more 4.8 drivers and way less 3.0si driver.

rh71 10-03-2008 08:00 PM

Before the big incentives of mid-year onward, I asked on every of my test drives which have been selling better and it was always the 3.0si.

I think the bonuses of summer got a lot of people onboard with the 4.8 as it was definitely a worthwhile price. Some were getting it shy of the $65k mark. I ended up spending $61k on my 3.0si after everything so it goes to show you how nice it was. I wouldn't trade those 6 months back though.

might be worth including the 3.0d if you're interested in knowing those too. I think they might be one of the biggest sellers

BMWLOVER 10-04-2008 12:06 AM

I will have one in the future and I will most likely own a 4.8i.

rh71 10-04-2008 11:38 AM

wow how American of me to forget the 3.0d.

I can't seem to figure out how to modify poll options anymore though. :(

autoque 10-04-2008 02:57 PM

^LOL. I knew you didn't include the 3.0d but I thought that was done on purpose, since you listed 3.0sd.

rh71 10-04-2008 04:54 PM

cause the 3.0d isn't sold here, it never crossed my mind. I think I may see more mention of sd on this board than d.

It's funny. I would expect to more "BMW enthusiasts" on this forum and that would lead me to expect to see more 4.8 models. That's interesting that there are more 3.0 models (so far). I didn't even consider the 3.0 model -- only alternative I considered to my 2008 4.8i was a late model 4.8is. Diesel was not a choice available to me...
