I did search but only saw issues with E53s.

I did noticed this problem on my E53 but decided not to pursue any warranty repair since it was a lease.

Haven't noticed it on the E70 yet but now that you mentioned I will keep an eye on it.

mine too... just the incentive I need to switch out for M steering wheel.

Mine is also peeling and I'm going to switch it out for the M steering wheel. Does anyone know if the M wheel has the same airbag as the standard wheel - I do not have the sport wheel.

My steering wheel was also peeling and they are replacing those pieces now, UNDER WARRANTY. I dropped it off because the clunking noise in the front was still present even after a previous attempt to repair it. I also am told the rear tire has a big piece of metal in it and needs replacement for $650 :wow: I'm gonna take it to a local tire shop to see if they can repair it or at least get me a decent price. Point of the story... the peeling is under warranty

I know it's under warranty. I just hate to have them take anything apart. Even something as simple as changing the steering wheel....

Does anyone know if the M steering wheel uses the same airbag as the regular (non-sport) steering wheel?
