new to forum

hey guys in new to the forum,

I just picked up a black on black E70 x5 with a couple packages. Im a 20 year old nursing student in New York. And i got a couple questions for you gurus here.

1) Is there anything i can do to make my Angel Eyes brighter like LEDs?
2) Is my x5 suppose to close the windows when i hold the lock button?
3) My old maxima had cornering lights, and my cousins 335 have the headlights that turn. Do we have either?

thanks
Reu

damn i think mine is broken, cause the key can open all the windows and roof but i wont close it..

^Nope not broken. The U.S. version of X5 won't close them for fear of lawsuits should accidents occur... Welcome to X5world!

=( damn i wish it would close it, my dads S class does, and volkswagens do,

but we do have the lights that move when we turn though right?

You should put them on ''Auto'' mode. Thats when U turn the lights controller to the left. BTW, My car does close the windows and roof when holding the close button.
:xoutpost: can we see couple pics ?

^Yup!

Also I don't think you can brighten the angel eyes with the stock controls...most likely you'd have to add some 3rd party stuff to it.

Congrats and welcome on your new ride. You can use the metal key to close all the windows from the door lock. Turn the key to lock the door and keep holding it to close all windows ;)

^ yup or with comfort access holding the door handles will do it as well. Really it just saves you from having to unlock, get in, and hitting all buttons. It still saves a step but we all wish it could close from a distance.

The LED thing I believe you need a complete replacement of the bulbs.. there's no setting. I have a white X5 that I think needs brighter angel eyes to match and wish the replacement was much easier but it's pretty involved. Maybe now that I think about it, the yellowish lights work as a nice contrast. It may get completely lost in the white on white.

1) as answered above...closing the windows from the fob is disabled in the us version
2) yes the e70 has adaptive headlights (normal head lights and high beams turn with steering motion)
3) yes the fog lights act as cornering lights (not sure how this exactly works but apparently uses mirrors inside the fog light compartment to illuminate a turn)
