Here in Colorado, Murray Motors always tries to give you another X5 or in the worst case scenario an X3 or a 3 series. They do not work with rental car companies. Maybe in NY, BMWs are so common that dealers do not have enough cars loaners?

*UPDATE*: I brought it in for a bunch of issues and my SA found a service bulletin on this "bump" issue and updated my firmware (I've been looking for an excuse for it anyway). So a day later I got it back and no more bump on brake release.

I also tried to get them to try and identify why I am getting a vibration only between 55-70mph - their balance costs $120. Ouch... and still it may occur if my replicas are out of round (which the installer did check for before putting them on and he did a balance too). Do you guys think it's worth it - I would pay anything to get rid of the vibration at this point, but if it's still there I've just wasted my money. Is their balancing any better than anyone else who does road-force balancing? I already did their wheel alignment for $150... another ouch.

Would you have an exact bulletin number or whatever they identify this under? My SA was useless. Thank you much for the update!

5399 software error verify customer concern. Found SIB 24 04 08 as per SIB perform complete vehicle update as per SIB.

Looks like a late April 08 fix... mine was produced Dec '07. Not sure if they threw on the latest firmware or just the one after that SIB? Anyone know for sure how they operate? Anyway, hope that helps.

Oh after I got my car back my A/C button was flashing on/off... had to press it quite a few times or hold it down to get it to stop doing that. I also tested every function to make sure all is good and for a while I couldn't get rear camera/PDC to work but finally I realized the update reset a lot of things (but not all, interestingly) and I had to go back to the settings and make it show Camera & PDC in left/right boxes again. Just a heads-up... cause I was one step away from marching back in there.

UPDATE 2: at random times when I shift to reverse, the rear camera won't come on - it switches to a black screen (yes the settings are right). I drive a bit further, and try again, and it's on.
