We have the 20" option on all sport model X5's. Just ordered a 35d M-Sport with 20"s, April 09 production!

Watrob, remind me what color 35d have you ordered?

Have gone for Space Grey M-Sport, have also ordered a full set of front and rear grills and sent them away to be painted titanium colour!

I looked at Black or White but I do every second weekend 600klm and they are just to hard to keep clean for a DD!

X5 Diesel 2009

Took delivery of my 2009 X5 Diesel in the midst of a winter storm while driving from Edmonton to Grand Prairie. The car displayed all the remarkable driving traits of a BMW and performed impeccably.
The IDrive system was not a problem if one actually read the manual and is computer literate.
As the car was still being broken in, I did not push it and just cant wait to push it!
Would love to trade stories with anyone with experience of the new diesel !

Hi Jeffrey!

I've had my diesel since Jan 2nd and have about 1600 miles on mine. So far, no problems at all.

Congratulations and good luck...

BMW offering $4500 Eco Credit on X5 xDrive35d

BMW is having a hard time moving the new 2009 BMW 335d and the X5 xDrive35d out of the showroom. So when the government announced its new $4,500 Car Allowance Rebate Systems program (CARS), aka ‘Cash for Clunkers,’ BMW was inspired to begin an incentive program of our own.

Now through August 31, BMW will give you a $4,500 Eco Credit toward your purchase of a 335d or an X5 xDrive35d - the most fuel-efficient vehicles in their class,” BMW said in a statement.

BMW said that buyers will also receive a “$900 tax credit on the 335d and $1,800 on the X5 xDrive35d and like any BMW, both diesel vehicles come with 4 years/50,000 miles of zero-cost maintenance.”

The 2009 BMW 335d and the X5 xDrive35d SUV are both available at BMW dealerships across all 50 states with pricing starting at $44,725 and $52,025 respectively. Both models are powered by a 3.0L twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder diesel that produces 265-hp and 425 lb-ft of torque.

VERY tempting for those on the fence about ordering one just before the idrive update. ;) Does the 335d have it yet?

Ummm... some of us have already been discussing this incentive program.
