I have 21 inch oem wheels that came with the dunlop run flats, is there an alternative like michelin so I can have a smoother and quieter ride?

Dunlop are the only manufacture who produce tyres for the OEM 21'' wheels. They offer them in both run flats and non-run flats. All dealers seem to put on the run flat option. My 21'' tyres have approx 5k-10k km left and I intend to change them for the non-run flats but remember you might need the emergency space saver wheel if you do not already have it in your boot/trunk. I doubt it would make too much difference but if the tires were worn out anyway I'd make the change to Dunlops. But I'd have the spare and/or an inflator and tire repair kit.

well...you can opt for air-ride after market suspension.

Not running run-flats does make a difference, lighter wheel/tire, faster take-off. Also, more harsh of a ride due to the stiff rigid sidewalls that come with runflats. Only down side I can think of not having them is that you wont have a spare!

I like the tread pattern and the look of the Dunlop ROFs.

Just about Tyres: X5 2007, 19" wheels , I scrapped the Run Flat's and installed Pirelli 255/50R19 Scorpion zero, load index 107 , $560.- each. It's fantastic very very smooth no more bumping all the time and very little noise. Now it is the 125k vehicle.Thanks to Conquest Tyrepower Adelaide, Australia.
